I am pleased to announce that my pastel painting “Hills near Livermore” was selected by the California Art Club to be in an exhibition titled “Art Between the Lines” at the Peninsula Museum of Art in Burlingame, California. The show was a competitive juried-selected exhibition and  featured 68 paintings by 65 artists.

The soft pastel painting is titled “Matilija Poppies” after a flower native to California. It begins to bloom in March and April. The spectacular lacy flower measures about 6 inches across and has a beautiful yellow golf ball-size stamen.
