Pacific Grove Sunset, oil on canvas 24 x 30 in.
Asilomar State Beach in Pacific Grove is a great place to see
colors in the water that range from turquoise to dark blue. As
the daylight changes, the drama unfolds with changing colors.
Pacific Grove is an artistic coastal town near Monterey and Carmel,
California. It has a bountiful assortment of Victorian Bed & Breakfasts
and is an important stop on the Monarch Butterfly annual migration.
I go there often with my family, and sometimes stay at the Asilomar
Conference Grounds where many of the buildings were designed
and built by famed-architect Julia Morgan.
