Late summer view of cottonwoods along the Coyote Creek, south of San Jose, California. Some of the leaves are just starting to turn a slight yellow. I was particularly attracted to the beauty of the cottonwoods and their reflection in the mirrored surface in a quiet pool created by a low flow of the creek. The contrast of the dark reflection in the water up against the lighter detailed trees was quite stunning. —JP
